Feeling Blue

According to men.style.com spring 2008 will find fashion is all about the color blue. From Paul Smith to Louis Vuitton, the color is hot. Having spent most of my life in light blue shirts (the color favors me), now I’m looking for fashion that not only suits my personal taste but also allows for some serious grown-up style. Check out the Spring Collection from John Varvatos gqstyle.com/TheCollections/Photos/ and you may just agree.

Recently I had my eyes examined at a place called Modern Eye in Philadelphia modern-eye.com. My preference in eyewear generally trends toward dull, never venturing too far from completely safe and bland. This year, for some odd reason, I allowed my glasses to be chosen for me. Smartest choice I’ve made regarding eyewear in many years. The styles are much larger than two years ago and I couldn’t tell which ones were for men and which for women. Apparently the 80’s are coming back in every area of fashion.

The last word…a few years ago I attended a hair show in London for Joe Grooming. Though I often travel the USA for Joe, I rarely get to enjoy time in Europe on the company dime. So I did what any smart man would have done, I added a few days to the tour and brought along my best buddy James. James is the kind of guy that makes most women swoon and all the stylists wanted him in their chair as a model. When he saw the hair styles that were being cut he wanted no part of the scene. As he stood watching with horror, I laughingly told him that he would be wearing the look in a few years. He swore at me and flatly denied the possibility. Well now James can eat his words. His cut from Francesca at Folicle folliclephilly.com looks super and very Euro.
